Friday ended up being quite a full update day! Between getting the new features out and following the start of the new season, this farewell to Freedom Ascension .2 stayed in my drafts a little longer than planned. But the results deserved their own moment, so let’s give this season a proper good bye.

This meta for GD05+STs ended too fast, but I found really fun one, I with to have more time to build and experiment! And to be honest, this made me not too excited about GD06 at first. Now, testing more the new stuff, Im seeing so many new archetypes! Im completely hooked! Every time I think I know what I want to play, another deck catches my attention. So many lists to test, so little time. Are you feeling the same?

Before getting even more lost in the new season,
let’s celebrate some of the players who made this one special.

Doyser is our GD05.2 champion! He quietly appeared in the previous season finishing in 29th place and really shined this time: 1,876 RP, 588 wins across 811 games with 72.5% win rate. He finished 372 RP ahead of second place! Congratulation Doyser!

A special highlight goes to TurboKid, who keeps finding his place at the top. After finishing second last season, he takes third place with 1,402 RP, winning 526 of his 780 games for a 67.4% WR. His tags are becoming a little collection of top finishes. Staying competitive across so many seasons and different metas is really impressive.

And of course F91, our longtime champion, deserves a mention. He joined the season a little late this time, but that always absurd consistency still made him shine: 14th place with 1,063 RP and 319 wins in 440 games. That’s a 72.5% WR, matching Doyser’s while playing a little over half as many games. Even with a late start, he made his presence felt!

Looking at win rates, we also have to highlight 下パネル, who finished fifth with 1,334 RP. With 402 wins in 547 games, his 73.5% WR was the highest among the final top 30! And our runner-up, 小田2, put together a strong season too: 1,504 RP and a 71.6% WR over 665 games.

These numbers also make me excited to see how the current season develops. Im really enjoying the changes I made to Ranked scoring. I expect players with stronger win rates to finish a little higher this time... not a huge shift, but enough to give consistency a bit more weight. Let’s see how it plays out over a full season!

Congratulations to everyone in the top 30, and thank you to everyone who played, tested strange ideas, and kept the arena busy. Seeing what you all bring into Ranked is a big part of the fun for me.

Now, back to GD06. I have a few too many decks I want to try already. Cheers, Doug!
